Administration Joomla! 3.x • Joomla 3.10 White screen displayed after Logon credentials entered no access to admin area

The frontend of this site is working normally as it has done for almost 10 years. However, when accessing the administrator a white page is drawn, no menus visible rendering the administrator area useless.

Once the logon details are entered the following error appears in the log file...

PHP Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/home/sites/siteneme.com/public_html/administrator/modules/mod_menu/tmpl/default.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear74:/usr/share/php') in /home/sites/siteneme.com/public_html/administrator/modules/mod_menu/mod_menu.php on line 29

I have noted that these files are missing from administrator

administrator/modules/mod_menu/tmpl

default_submenu.php
default.php
index.html

Not sure how they have been deleted. I did have Google Authenticator two factor auth on this site but have switched it off by changing values in the database.

I have found the missing files on a similar site but I'm unable to upload them either by FTP or via the Host's file manager getting the 'Fakepath' error message.

Any suggestions on how to fix this and what causes this would be welcome.
